Region 10 3rd Annual Watterson Ranch Ride Labor Day Weekend, 2008 |

| On labor day weekend, region 10 will sponsor their
third annual watterson ranch ride. we will gather on august 29
to enjoy a cowboy stew and register. saturday morning august
30 after breakfast, we will ride out for a morning ride.
lunch will be on your own in camp. on saturday afternoon, we
have lined up several activities in camp. a photographer
will be available to take some awesome shots of you and your
horse all dressed up. contact the photographer at eallen@bastrop.isd.tenet.edu
with questions you may have. john nowell has a computerized
system that will test your saddle to see if it fits.
he also has saddles for sale that can be adjusted as your
horse grows old with you. contact john at jcnowell@msn.com.
tammy rose has agreed to bring her tack trailer to trina's pasture
and will have new tack for sale. contact tammy beforehand
at tammy@centralharness.com. we will also have
a trailride-wide garage sale for those of you who want to
bring stuff to set out by your trailer. the team
sorting will start at 6:00 pm, will be $20 a rider for unlimited
runs, and will be an extra charge paid to the ranch.
saturday evening dinner will be potluck with the meat provided
by the ride. after breakfast on sunday, we will ride out
for a morning ride. lunch will be on your own in camp. sunday
afternoon, we will ride out again. sunday evening dinner will
be cooked by scott miller and will be an extra charge payable
to the ranch. monday morning breakfast will be served and a morning
ride will conclude the weekend. take hwy 71 into bastrop and
turn south on hwy 304. go 5.7 miles to watterson road and turn
right (at the Texaco station). Follow Watterson Rd 2.3 miles
to the banner declaring 'ranch sorting' and turn left into
2nd cattle guard entrance. the ride will cost $40 for members
and $50 for non-members. |
